On January 20, 2024, the Engineering and Analytical Division of SIAM will celebrate its 17th birthday. A lot was done during this time, which would have been impossible without our dedicated specialists. And a special role in the formation of «Siam Master» was played by its pioneers who worked in the Division from the beginning. One of such heroes is Julia Zhukova, a lead geologist at the Tomsk Engineering Center. And although 17 years for the Division is not a milestone, however, today Julia celebrates her personal anniversary, and it is our duty to tell her story.

Today it is impossible to imagine the Well Testing Department without such an important specialist as Yulia Zhukova. She became a part of SIAM 17 years ago, and till this day she is still loyal to the company. And today we want to remember exactly how her geological path began.
In 2005, Yulia Zhukova graduated from Tomsk Polytechnic University with a degree in Search and exploration of groundwater and engineering and geological surveys. In 2007, she got a job as a geologist of the first category in the newly created young company SIAM Engineering (today the Engineering Center is part of the Siam Master). Her specialization was well testing. This is how Grizodub Anna, a colleague in the department, remembers the beginning of their work: «My unique friend and I discovered the world of well testing back in the 2000s. And if at first it was incomprehensible, but extremely entertaining lines, then over time well testing became our main work».
Colleagues remember those years very warmly. Director of Well Testing Department Anikanov Alexander recalls that «in 2008, Julia was a geologist of the first category, I had the second category. She was a more experienced specialist and taught me how to interpret things, helped me in everything. We were young and full of ambition, but she had such qualities as discipline, accuracy, communication and willingness to help colleagues. Over the years, they only multiplied. I appreciated that in 2008 — I appreciate it in 2023».

Over the years, Yulia's competence has grown: today she works with well testing, development monitoring, as well as planning geological and technological activities and mapping. About the latter it is worth mentioning that Yulia participated in the making of more than 5 000 isobar maps for Novosibirsk Oil Company, Samotlorneftegaz, RN-Uvatneftegaz, Tomskneft VNK, SamaraNIPIneft projects and many others. Today Yulia is the most experienced employee of the two departments in this area of knowledge and skills.
She was always an excellent and attentive specialist. For example, this is how her colleague Levshin Mikhail speaks about her work: «Yulia is a professional in her field. Over the years of working together, I had to turn to her more than once for work advice, and she always found the time and opportunity to help». Vishnareva Alexandra agrees with him: «Yulia is a reliable and responsible colleague. I am always happy to work with her in the same team».

In the team, Yulia Zhukova is appreciated not only for her professionalism, but also for her openness to others, team spirit and sense of humor. For example, many colleagues note that Julia can improve even the most routine working day. According to T.A. Kishkina, the first head of the Well Testing Department, «Yulia has always had a great sense of humor, and she was very responsible when it came to work tasks. It is the synthesis of these two criteria that makes our work not boring and interesting».
And today, we wish Yulia inspiration in all areas of her life, health and success on her life path. We are proud to work with such a highly qualified specialist and thank her for her unwavering faith in our team and our business. But most importantly, we thank her for making our life brighter with energy and cheerfulness.
