We used to tell their stories in the section «Our People» of the corporate newspaper, and now we are returning this column to the website. Meet our first heroine — Valentina Mikhailovna Tyrtyshnaya!

Today, SIAM Company is known as one of the leader on the Russian oil and gas market. That wouldn’t have been possible without people who have been working with us for a long time and have unique experience and knowledge. The hero of today's story is that type of worker. Valentina Mikhailovna Tyrtyshnaya, a leading geologist at the Nefteyugansk Engineering Center, celebrates 20 years since her employment in SIAM Company on October 2, 2023.
Valentina Mikhailovna is a unique specialist. She got a diploma in Mining Engineering in 1991 and didn't stop there. In 2000 she graduated from the Economics Faculty of Tyumen State University. According to Nadezhda Trushina, a former deputy head, this made her a wonderful candidate for the position of director assistant. That was Valentina’a first position at Siam in 2003, where she is working now. As noted by Liana Rakhmatullina, head of the regional division of the Engineering Center of Nefteyugansk, Valentina Mikhailovna is a true patriot of the Company.

In 2005, Valentina Mikhailovna decided to return to the engineering career and transfered to the position of a geologist at the Engineering and Analytical Center, where she is working today. She quickly delved into all the nuances of production and soon became a backbone for the management of the division. As Vitaly Bormashov, the former supervisor, said, Valentina Mikhailovna always performed her tasks at a high level and led the team. And she was demanding not only towards herself, but also towards others, including the people in charge. «I had to work on myself to fit the position,» Vitaly Bormashov said.
Moreover, Valentina Mikhailovna took an active part in the training of the younger generation of engineers: she is always happy to share her accumulated experience and knowledge, for example, the ability to make qualified decisions in non-standard well testing situations.

Valentina Mikhailovna is highly respected among colleagues not only for her high professionalism, but also for her human qualities: kindness, responsiveness, openness. According to Nadezhda Trushina, even when there were troubles at work, they were easily overcome thanks to people like Valentina Mikhailovna.
Her hard work was notices noticed not only by her team, but also by the country: this year, for her great personal contribution to the development of the fuel and energy industry in Russia and many years of work, she received a certificate of honor from the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation.
