We invite you to participate in the Siam ML Hack Hackathon

SIAM company announces the start of registration for the Siam ML Hack — a hackathon focused on applying machine learning methods to the processing and interpretation of wellbore hydrodynamic research data. You have a unique opportunity to apply your skills on real data, gain experience in the oilfield services industry, and become a winner! The total prize pool is 1,000,000 rubles (the prize amount depends on the position you place).

Participants will work with real engineering data used by oilfield service companies to interpret wellbore hydrodynamic research.

During the hackathon, two tracks will be available:

• Binary feature detection in data. You will need to develop a model to recognize key patterns and their characteristics in discrete data presented on a specialized graph;
• Identifying valuable data for analysis. The goal is to develop an algorithm that identifies the most informative sections of time series and accurately determines their start and end, enabling deeper analysis.

Each participant will gain knowledge and learn methods for noise processing, building robust models, and solving problems at the intersection of engineering and science, while applying their skills to find the best solution. The hackathon offers a unique opportunity to enhance your skills alongside experienced oil engineers and SIAM experts.
